the first month
One month with our little man! It’s been so fun (and a little bittersweet) watching him grow and change so quickly.
His favorite thing to do (like many babies) is eat, followed by laying on the playmat or changing pad. He loves the bath but hates getting out. He enjoys being in the carrier, in the stroller, or in the car (pretty much immediately falls asleep).
He actually likes tummy time and holds up his head so well! He started smiling at around 3 weeks (usually in the morning) and we’re soaking all of those up.
He sneezes often (usually between 3-5 at a time) and gets the hiccups frequently (he doesn’t like those very much).
He’s a very noisy eater so feeding him in public will be an adventure!
He’s very mobile: kicks and kicks and kicks and throws his arms around and occasionally hits himself in the face. This is probably why he loves to be swaddled: it gives him a break from his limbs.
He is starting to grow out of some of the newborn clothes, but most 0-3m clothes are still too big. Funnily enough, even with how long he is, he’s maxing out of most of them in the stomach. Big belly boy.
He will usually do one 5-6 hour stretch at night, which is great! He started that around 3 weeks. We are looking forward to a more developed digestion system soon, poor buddy still has a hard time with tummy pains, especially in the evening.
He loves noise of pretty much any kind and being rubbed on his head. He loses his mind nearly every time we try to put sleeves on him.
We love him so much and can’t wait for month two!
