the fifth month
Geez louise this boy is growing like a weed. Every day it seems like he’s bigger.
We are absolutely loving this age and wish we could stay here forever but at the same time we love seeing him pick up new skills.
He is such a good sleeper (at night) and is thriving on his schedule, as are we! He dropped his last night feed in mid-February and is fully sleeping 7:15-7 now!
He weighed 17lbs and 14oz at his 4 month appointment on February 2, we’re curious to see what it’ll be next time! He’s right at the 90th percentile for his height, weight, and head size.
He got to meet his Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, Aunt, and cousins this month! He made friends with his cousin Silas and got loved on a ton.
He was also in his Sweet Mama’s wedding this month! He, Daddy, and Aunt KK walked her down the aisle and got to meet lots of extended family and friends. It was a special day!
He’s just moved up to size 3 diapers and probably won’t last much longer in 3-6 month clothes. He started scratching at everything with his little hands and kicks his feet up in the air constantly! He’s grabbed his toes once, but maybe he’ll replicate it soon.
Still not huge on rolling, but we’re not super eager for him to be mobile so fine by us! When he’s on his back, he’ll kick his feet up and roll to his left side, just not all the way over. He’s working on it.
He loves to hold his hands in front of his face, stare at them as though he’s never seen them before, and babble.
He’s a big fan of chewing on things, namely burp cloths, wash cloths, his chicken, and his Sophie la Girafe. We’ll start food at 6 months and we think he’ll really enjoy it!
He loves music and will occasionally hit the keys on his little piano. He’s developed some favorite songs which I’ll have down below.
He’s figured out how to screech and yell: not upset, just loud. He also is a huge fan of the fake cough.
He loves to grab his burp cloths and hold them! Very handy for us as we’re walking around with him lol
He’s had a little rash (we think eczema?) on his tummy that’s pretty minor and doesn’t seem to bother him, but we’ve been lathering him up in Tubby Todd OOO.
He thankfully still likes the car! He’s either staring or sleeping. He’ll only occasionally get fussy in traffic, but we do too.
