the ninth month

Just zooming on through these months!! Crazy.

Asa basa is the best (that’s his new nickname).

He can’t crawl yet but is starting to be able to push himself up on his arms! He’s been able to manuver around between sitting and rolling so crawling will be the next step.

He started clapping! He can’t do it on command yet but he’ll occasionally break it out. He’ll do it when he’s crying sometimes which is, unfortunately, funny.

Still a big paci fan. He can pick it out of his toys really quickly.

He likes to hold up his food when he’s eating like the statue of liberty and it’s hilarious!

He loves books. Not necessarily reading them, but holding them, talking to them, and chewing on them. He’ll babble to his Eric Carle Brown Bear & Friends 123 with a crinkle cover that I grabbed at Goodwill for loooong stretches of time.

He loves purees and will down a pouch really quickly. He’s slowly starting to warm up to other foods, we’ve tackled all his allergens and he’s a fan of pizza crust.

I stopped breastfeeding on my birthday for my own sanity and it was a good decision! he does not care. We’re making our way through the freezer stash and combo feeding with formula. He doesn’t care what’s in the bottle as long as he gets a bottle. lol.

He got baptized on Sunday the 28th! All his family and friends were there. Grandma and Grandpa, Sweet Mama and Patrick, Grandpa and Shannon, Aunt Kendall and Uncle Matthew, Aunt KK and Uncle Ryan, Aunt Hannah, Ansley, Nick, and Landon! It was so special to have everyone there and he got a really cool bible with his name on it. He wore his dad’s dedication outfit too!

I don’t remember when we hit it but Asa’s solidly in size 4 diapers now!

Still no teeth on the horizon which is fine with us. We love his gummy smile!

We went to the Aquarium for Dad’s birthday! He LOVED it. He usually likes crowds and noise but is usually in observation mode, but not at the aquarium! He had SO MUCH to say to all the fishies. The hammerhead shark was his favorite!

The same week, Aunt KK took us to Asa’s first Braves game! It was hot, but he was a trooper. He wore his Braves hat the whole game just like Daddy and got a first game button! He enjoyed seeing all the people and did pretty well other than getting scared at one unexpected cheer.

He tagged along for a thrifting day for Mommy’s birthday and did so well being out of the house all day! He had his first public blowout but we got him all cleaned up. Could’ve been much worse. La Parrilla gave Mommy a birthday balloon and Asa had a BALL playing with it.

He’s the smiliest, loudest boy and we’re so glad he’s ours!
