the tenth month
Oh boy! We’re getting so close to a year, and we can hardly believe it.
Asa finally cut his first tooth! His bottom right front tooth came in on July 17. Since he doesn’t have any on top yet his gummy smile is still mostly intact!
Asa loves music: he bops and boogies often!
He’s still a big boy, looking more like a toddler every day. We’ve officially moved up to 12m clothes, occasionally 18m.
His hair is coming in! Mostly blonde, but has some dark streaks on the sides behind his ears.
We moved his car seat up from the Doona because he outgrew it. I gotta say, the rotating car seat life is nice.
His favorite foods are little belly sticks, gerber lil’ crunchies (garden tomato flavor only), yogurt melts, and mushrooms. Hopefully he’ll go for some more ‘real’ foods soon, he’s refused most solids other than snacks, but in his defense he sill lacks teeth.
He started crawling right at 10 months and he gets into everything! His favorites are his high chair, any shoes, and any cords or outlets. Hooray.
He loves facing forward in the stroller and looking at the world!
One of his favorite pastimes is dumping his book basket and holding each book. He’s still a Brown Bear fan!
He did his first ‘spend the night’ weekend with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy were in Savannah at a bachelor/bachelorette weekend! He did great and everyone had a great time.
He will clap whenever someone finishes singing a song or about 60% of the time that you say “yay!”
He knows his name and will look if you call him (most of the time).
Now that he’s mobile, he has a lot of bonks! At first he would occasionally just let his arms drop and bonk his head on the floor. He’s getting a little better with control though!
He sits in the carts at grocery stores now like a big boy! He can hang and look around most of the time but sometimes he just wants to be held. He’s also pretty good at a restaurant visit! Though he will grab for everyone’s drinks and food.
He loves his soccer ball! Tyler’s Grandma got Asa a World Cup soccer ball and he loves rolling it around and throwing it.
